Rushwell House: Rated "Good" by CQC

We are delighted to announce that, following a recent inspection by the Care Quality Commission (CQC), Rushwell House in Rushden has retained its rating of “Good”.
The latest CQC report says: “People had developed positive relationships with staff and were treated with kindness and compassion.
The care and support was provided for individuals by a dedicated staff team and this fostered trusting relationships between people using the service, relatives and staff.”
Rushwell House provides residential care for up to 8 people with learning disabilities and mental health issues. The home includes 2 large communal areas and a garden, cared for by those who use the service.
During the inspection, one user of service said, "I was very unhappy where I used to live, but I absolutely love it here, I have lots of freedom and have made lots of friends."
Another said, “I feel very safe, I am very, very happy here."
The service was rated on whether it was safe, effective, caring, responsive and well-led.
The report says, “The staff were highly motivated and inspired to offer care that was kind and compassionate. One member of staff said, "I really do love my job, it is so rewarding, the staff work well as a team to give people the best chance to live their lives to the full". The report added, “People were supported to live enriched and fulfilling lifestyles, achieve ambitions and maintain friendships and relationships. The staff fully respected people's rights to live a private life and maintain relationships with partners and friends.”
