Meet Sandra, one of our new starters at Lotus House

Sandra very recently relocated to the UK from Portugal to join Lotus House as a Senior Support Worker. We spoke with Sandra to find out how her first few weeks had been as part of the Mentaur team.
Why Mentaur?
Back in Portugal I was working as a trainer, and although I enjoyed the role I was really looking for a job that would take me in a new direction, offering me the chance to learn new skills. I saw the role at Mentaur advertised online, and, given I had some experience in care and had worked in the UK before, I jumped at the chance to apply.
How did you find the recruitment process?
Mentaur went above and beyond to give me this opportunity. Due to outside factors I had a very small window of availability to attend the interview; Mentaur communicated with me throughout the process and did everything possible to make sure I was able to meet with some of the corporate team, for which I’m very grateful.
How have your first few weeks been with Mentaur?
It’s been fantastic! I love meeting new people, and I’ve learnt so much already; it’s certainly given me the opportunity to face a new challenge and learn new things. I particularly enjoy spending time with the people living in Lotus House; being on hand to support and encourage people is so rewarding, and I’m looking forward to helping more and more people as I progress.
What would you say to people considering a career at Mentaur?
