Mentaur to attend the XI Autism-Europe International Congress
September 02, 2016
In just two weeks’ time Mentaur will be joining hundreds of other professionals from across the globe at the 11th Autism-Europe International Congress, organised by the National Autistic Society.
The aim of the conference is to bring as many professionals, researchers and advocates together to share new ideas, research, knowledge and practices in autism, to aid better understanding and to further empower people with autism.
Mentaur previously attended the 10th Autism-Europe International Congress in Hungary in 2013, presenting at the time our most recent project, ‘Developing an objective tool to measure quality of life outcomes of people with Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD)’. You can read more about our presentation to the congress via our website.
This year, the conference takes place in Edinburgh and the theme of the congress is “Happy, Healthy & Empowered”. Mentaur consistently aims to be the embodiment of these values for the people we support. Our Group Operations Manager, Herculano Castro, is delighted to be representing Mentaur at this prestigious event whilst having the opportunity to share and bring back new and innovative ideas on how Mentaur can further support people with autism to a more independent way of life.
