Support Worker - Kettering

As a full time Support Worker you will work 37.5 hours per week. This will be a mixture of working morning and afternoon shifts 5 days out of a 7 day week.
 

Mentaur has been providing specialist care services for over 30 years to adults with learning disabilities, mental disorder, dementia and autism. We are currently seeking to appoint Support Workers to work in our residential home based in Northampton. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who wants to work in care.
 

The role will involve supporting our Service Users with their day-to-day needs through encouragement and promoting a positive environment. The typical duties will include supporting our Service Users with their daily needs and everyday household tasks, encouraging and assisting them to take part in activities, accompany and assisting them with appointments and shopping. The role will also involve carrying out personal care and completing some basic administration tasks.
 

The successful candidate will ideally have experience working with adults with learning disabilities. You will be able to interact with our Service Users in a positive way and encourage them to fulfil their full potential. You will be able to use your initiative, adapt to changing situations and demonstrate your excellent verbal communication skills. An NVQ level 2 in Health and Social Care or equivalent is desirable but not essential if the right candidate is able to demonstrate a genuine interest to learn and develop.
