The people living at Aurora House have exclusive possession of their own room and enjoy shared access to the communal kitchen, living and other communal areas. The users of service at Aurora House are provided with housing management and housing-related support to further their life skills, maintain their accommodation and access to benefits. All users of the service lead an empowered and fuller life, with supported opportunities to explore the world and break down invisible barriers a priority for the motivated staff group.
The home incorporates autism-friendly design elements and special sensory features and provides accommodation for adults of either sex in large single bedrooms all with en-suite facilities. The three ground-floor bedrooms are suitable for wheelchair users and are compliant with all relevant environmental norms. There are no barriers to wheelchair use over the entire ground floor and outside areas. The home has large spacious areas which have been creatively designed with specialist lighting and high-quality fixtures and fittings.
